Jaime Rivas is an indie game developer working on his first commercial release. He has contributed to over 20 projects through the HomeTeamGameDev group in which he served as a gameplay programmer, level designer, composer, and project lead. He was awarded the "Game Changer" in recognition of his dedication and passion for game development. Before his time at HomeTeamGameDev, he enjoyed a military career that exposed him to foreign cultures which ignited his passion for learning. He is currently working towards a Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering in addition to gaining his A&P Mechanic license to become an aircraft maintenance technician.
Outside of his academic and professional goals, he can often be found deeply engaged in music composition. His favorite music genres include bossa nova, video game soundtracks, and hip hop. His top ten musical influences are Nobuo Uematsu, Yasunori Mitsuda, Yuzo Koshiro, Yoko Shimomura, the Falcom Sound Team, David Bowie, Charlie Byrd, Antonio Carlos Jobim, The Beatles, and Nujabes.
